Sterling Joe Hart show earns ‘best keeper in the world’ status from Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney

A sterling Champions League performance for Manchester City earned Joe Hart ‘best goalkeeper in the world’ status from England teammate Wayne Rooney last night.

The England No. 1 was personally thanked by his manager for an outstanding performance that saw City sneak a late equaliser against Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad.

Hart saved eight powerful shots from the German champions attacking force and the Manchester United hero hailed his international pal for an ‘incredible’ match.

Rooney wrote on Twitter: “Have to say Joe Hart has been incredible. For me best keeper in the world.”

The Bundesliga outfit eventually found a way to pass Hart after Jack Rodwell gifted Marco Reus an easy chance on goal.

And just before the 90th minute, Neven Subotic was contentiously penalised for handling the ball after Sergio Aguero fired towards goal from point-blank range.

Mario Balotelli kept his composure in a tense atmosphere at the Etihad and slotted home coolly to earn the Blues first point in Europe.
