Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini suggested that marriage could be the answer to Mario Balotelli’s behavioural issues, yesterday.
The controversial striker was fined £250,000 by his boss yesterday for his early morning antics which saw the striker pictured outside a Liverpool strip club on Friday.
Mancini claimed he was unaware of the 21-year-old’s mischievous night out 36 hours before his team’s Saturday match, and watched the forward score City’s second goal in a 2-0 win.
Speaking on his player’s behaviour yesterday, Mancini said: “Now he is young but when he is 25 or 26 it will be different. If you don’t have a good private life you can’t play at the top level. Is it time he got married? Could be, could be.”
Balotelli was omitted from his country’s international defeat to USA this week, as the striker was warned about his conduct and attitude.
Mancini added: “Mario stayed on the bench for five or six games because his behaviour wasn’t good. I’m very kind with him and with other players and all of them should have good behaviour for them and for the squad.”
