Mario Balotelli’s agent has poured cold water over AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi’s ambition to prise the striker away from Manchester City.
The ex-Italian Prime Minister has made no secret of his admiration of Balotelli in the past, while the 22-year-old wore a Rossoneri shirt when still playing for Inter Milan two years ago.
There is no current suggestion that the Blues and Balotelli are looking to part ways, but when asked whether signing the striker was just a dream, Berlusconi was unclear.
“No, it’s not a dream. I never dream,” said Berlusconi.
Balotelli has been involved in some high-profile spats with Blues boss Roberto Mancini in his time at the Etihad Stadium.
However, the striker’s agent, Mino Raiola, insists no Italian side currently has the financial might to tempt City with an offer.
“Mario Balotelli costs as the Mona Lisa and then in Italy there are no clubs who can afford him,” he said.
The Azzurri forward has not been prolific so far this season – scoring three goals in 18 appearances for the Blues – but netted in his last start against Wigan Athletic.
