England women face Holland in vital Euro 2013 qualifier at Salford City Stadium

England’s women will play Holland in a crucial Euro 2013 qualifier at Salford City Stadium on Sunday.

The match, which will be shown live on BBC Two, is a must-win for Hope Powell’s team with only top spot in Group Six good enough to progress to the finals in Sweden next year.

The two sides drew 0-0 when they met in Zwolle in October and striker Ellen White believes her side can take heart from that showing.

“We have learnt from that game,” she said. “Built on our performance out there and hopefully we can put in a good performance on Sunday and get the three points.
“There probably won’t be many chances in the game so when we get one we are going to have to take it,” she added. “But I’m confident we can do it.”

With rivals Holland five points clear at the top of the group England to capitalise on this game with another in hand to come.

Holland can confirm their qualification for the tournament with a win so the game takes on added significance for Powell and her team.

The Football Association and Manchester County FA have lined up an afternoon of family friendly activities from 3.00pm outside the ground ahead of the kick off at 5.15pm.

Entry is free for under 12s and all children will receive an England party bag packed with goodies. Tickets cost as little as £5 per adult, concessions £2.50 and a family ticket costs just £10.
