Salford City sign Balotelli: Ammies swoop for Manchester City Mario’s younger brother Enoch Barwuah

Mario Balotelli’s younger brother Enoch Barwuah signed for Salford City FC last night.

The Italian, 20, is joining his enigmatic sibling by taking permanent life in Manchester – and could bring welcome news to the Manchester City striker who regularly complains of missing his home country.

Enoch trained with the Ammies yesterday and manager Darren Sheridan was impressed with his showing and snapped him up until the end of the season.

Sheridan told MM: “He’s definitely got a bit of something about him. He’s a big lad, and the spitting image of his brother.”

He added that his new signing will be in the squad for the weekend, but is unlikely to start with other players ahead of him in the pecking order.

“He came across as a really genuine lad,” added Sheridan. “To come here with his brother’s reputation on his shoulders must have been tough, but it hasn’t gone to his head.

“I wouldn’t say he seemed like a joker, but maybe it’ll just take some time for him to settle in.”

Due to Mario’s early life in foster care, his biological brother’s name is Enoch Barwuah, and the elder was separated from his family until he broke on to the scene at Inter Milan when his parents asked for his return.

The brothers will be reunited once more in Greater Manchester with Enoch’s move to Salford.

Enoch had a trial at Stoke City last December, and turned out for the reserves against Burton Albion.
