Manchester United will not follow City into NextGen’s European under-19s league

Manchester United are not going to join the NextGen European Under-19 league, reports suggest.

The Red have ruled out the prospect of getting involved despite rivals Manchester City being part of the league debut season.

Meanwhile Arsenal and Chelsea have signed up, along with Liverpool and Tottenham who are already involved.

However City’s Elite Development Squad lost every single match of last year’s league – and finished at the bottom of the group stages.

More to follow.
