Ricky Hatton will fight Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko in his comeback bout in Manchester on, the Hyde boxer announced today.
The ‘Hitman’, 33, announced his comeback two weeks ago after more than three years out of the ring, and has already sold out the Manchester Arena.
He retired last year with a record of 45 wins and two defeats, but has not fought since his 2009 loss to Manny Pacquiao.
Hatton will move up to welterweight for the fight against former WBA champion, Senchenko, 35, who has won 32 out of 33 fights, but was stopped by Paulie Malignaggi in Donetsk in April.
The Ukranian won the belt after beating Yuriy Nuzhnenko in 2009, and made three successful defences before losing to the New Yorker.
This will be his first fight in England.
If Hatton wins this fight he is tipped to face WBA welterweight champion Malignaggi.
