Mancunian Matters Weekend selections;
Ipswich to beat Brighton @ 8/5: Ipswich have turned the corner since their 7-1 thrashing at Peterborough and a mid-week victory at West Ham showed just what the Tractor boys are capable of. Although Brighton started the season well, Tuesday’s defeat at home to Crystal Palace means it’s now four games without a win for Gus Poyet’s men. With Ipswich’s confidence high Paul Jewell’s side can claim the points.
Bristol Rovers to beat Cheltenham @ 1/1: Last Saturday’s win at league leaders Morecambe was the confidence boost the Pirates needed. A home match against a Cheltenham side without a victory in three should not pose a problem for Bristol.
Burton Albion to beat Bradford @23/20: They may have been many people’s tips for promotion but Bradford City are, to put it simply, awful. Their last league win was in August, they struggle for goals and conced many, so backing high flying Burton at odds against is a must.
The above treble pays 10/1
Brentford and Huddersfield draw @ 23/10 – Both teams are playing well but Huddersfield are unbeaten for what seems like an age, but often struggle to capture the points away.
Blackpool to beat Bristol City @ 3/4; Blackpool should beat a poor Bristol City side and possibly signal the end for Keith Millen at City.
Southampton to beat Watford @ 8/15; With Southampton chasing a 16th straight home victory, we fancy Nigel Adkins boys to bounce back from a mid-week defeat and smash the Hornets.
The above treble pays; 15/2
