MM speaks to students occupying university building over rent strike

A group of Manchester university students have occupied a university building as part of a rent strike.

Between ten and 15 students are currently occupying Owens Park Tower, a University of Manchester owned building, as part of a rent strike.

After being granted access by security outside the building, I interviewed three students, Lotte, Ian and Ve, in the foyer, to learn about their experience.

I asked them about the reasons behind their decision to occupy the building, and what they thought of the university’s response to student’s concerns.
