Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is used to being credited with ‘stunning strikes’ – yet his first ‘wild’ pitch for Major League Baseball yesterday certainly won’t be one of them.
The Portuguese winger was the guest of honour as the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the New York Yankees.
The Real Madrid megastar marked the occasion by almost taking out a cameraman with a ‘wild’ pitch.
After demonstrating some silky skills on the side-lines, Ronaldo made his way to the mound where his first pitch had a cameraman scarpering.
However, Cristiano showed that he is a quick learner and managed to pitch a strike down the middle with his second attempt.
The former world player of the year is used to delivering balls with pin-point accuracy but it seems that a baseball career might be a bridge too far for the Portuguese winger.
