Manchester readies itself for November pain: Cyanide and T-Bone primed for action at HXC’S last show of the year

By Matthew Naylor

Manchester’s biggest wrestling promotion is back this Saturday night, when HXC bring their hard-hitting November Pain spectacular to Manchester Metropolitan’s Student Union.

Following the success of their sell-out shows this year, the hardcore wrestling specialists are looking to end 2013 with a bang.

Boasting some of the top names on the British wrestling scene such as Cyanide, Zack Gibson, T-Bone and El Ligero, as well as the international flavour brought by American man-mountain Uhaa Nation, the reputation of HXC is growing rapidly.

Their promoter, Mike Hough, has put the city on notice as he claims their wildly successful debut year is only the start of things to come.

“We are now on show number four and we couldn’t be happier with the continuing success of HXC,” he explained.

“We’re honoured to be bringing new faces and culture into our home city that might not otherwise have been here before.

“We’re closing out 2013 with an amazing show and 2014 has some very exciting things in store. Watch this space.”

The ‘Strictly Over 18s’ promotion’s third instalment, The Lost Circus, saw fans from as far as Germany descend on Manchester last month to see what all the hype is about, and Hough believes they have not been going home disappointed.

“Manchester has never seen anything like us, and the word has gotten out,” he added.

November Pain takes place at MMU Student’s Union on Saturday November 30, with doors opening at 7:00pm for a 7:30 start.
