Good Kompany: Manchester City’s Vincent seeks inspiration from Twitter ahead of Belgium v America

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany is often described as an inspiration – but he is turning to Twitter for some of his own.

The Belgium captain, who was crocked for the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over South Korea in their World Cup Group H finale, is a doubt for Tuesday’s clash with the United States of America.

And, in a bit to psych himself up to get off the physio’s table and his side into the quarter-finals, the 28-year-old has called on his followers to send him some inspirational quotes.

The 60-cap centre-back laid down the gauntlet on Saturday.

Kompany, who has led City to two Premier League titles since joining The Etihad outfit for £6million from German side Hamburg SV in 2008, has been equally important to his national side at the World Cup.

Much-fancied before the tournament because of their star-studded squad, Belgium have won every game at the World Cup with 1-0 wins over Russia and Korea after turning around a one-goal deficit in their opener to defeat Algeria 2-1.
