The fourth edition of an independent music festival was held at Projekts Skatepark by Sour Grapes Records on Saturday.
Meltchester is a psychedelic and garage rock music festival hosted by independent record label Sour Grapes Records at a converted skatepark in Manchester.
The festival featured a mix of local and international talent including Snapped Ankles, Heavy Lungs and Earth Tongue.
Manchester bands on the bill included Wax Head, Slap Rash and Dead Stilettos.
Sour Grapes Records is a Manchester-based DIY independent record that promotes local, grassroots talent.
The label also owns the UK’s only cassette shop, Mars Tapes, which is situated on the third floor of Afflecks.
Evan Chase, bassist from Wax Head, said: “Independent record labels like Sour Grapes mean that bands like us can exist.
“Manchester has such a rich music history and so it’s really important we continue this trajectory of making music and supporting musicians.
“The music is out there. Musicians just need a little support and venues to play.”
