Fans heard an Australian accent from Harry Styles when he was interviewed about his new album.
Zane Lowe conducted the interview for Apple Music to promote the release of Styles’ new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally which comes out on March 6.
And while fans were thrilled to hear from the Cheshire-raised singer, some took to social media to question where the 32-year-old’s accent has gone.
One fan said: “Where’s Harrys Northern Accent gone.”
Another commented: “I never knew he was Australian.”
A third added: “Omg he sounds so Australian now!!”
Styles grew up in Holmes Chapel, however since his former band One Direction split up to start solo careers, he has lived in LA and New York.
From 2014-2016 the singer owned a Beverly Hills mansion, and from 2016-2019 he owned a Sunset Strip mansion.
He currently owns a penthouse in Tribeca, New York City which he bought in 2017.
Before Styles grew to fame on the X Factor in 2010, he worked in a bakery in Cheshire.
It’s clear that Styles still has a love for pastries as within the interview with Zane Lowe, the singer mentioned how much he loves croissants, which has got fans reposting this clip on social media.
Within the hour-long interview Styles opened up about the grief he felt after the passing of his former bandmate and friend, Liam Payne.
The singer – who opened the Brits in Manchester last weekend – said he needed to process Payne’s death but there was a desire from the public for him to convey his feelings.
Additionally, within the interview Styles mentioned that he was not sure if he still loved making music and touring after he released previous album, Harrys House.
This album ended up winning Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Styles will perform at Manchester’s Co-Op Live Arena for one night only on March 6 to promote the new album.
Netflix will film the full performance which will be released to the streaming website on March 8 at 7pm GMT.
