Top upcoming games in the UK for 2022

The year 2022 is shaping up to be a bonanza year for blockbuster gaming releases.

With production schedules in many studios pushed back recently, there are a host of big titles set to be unveiled during this year.

Be it on console, PC or mobile, many of the most successful franchises are due to refresh while gamers and developers alike will be wondering what the next big thing in gaming will be.

Could it be the latest instalment of a fresh creative collaboration or even a Wordle-Esque curveball?

Here’s what to look out for.

The best upcoming PC and console games

Starting with a PlayStation stalwart, Gran Turismo 7 is due for release in March.

When the first instalment was released way back in 1997, racers were overwhelmed as they could pick from 140 cars to speed around 11 tracks.

This eighth edition of the racing simulator will have over 400 motors to choose from including the latest supercars and retro classics from the 80s and 90s.

Gran Turismo 7 will be a cross-generation title available for both PS4 and PS5.

Meanwhile in a galaxy far far away, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga hits the shops this spring.

Launching on PlayStation, XBox, PC and Nintendo Switch, it really looks as if fans of slapstick space antics will be rewarded for their wait with this latest edition to the series.

Reimagined and rebuilt brick by brick, TT Studios promise this saga will be the best Lego Star Wars title yet.

Returning to Santo Ileso this summer, the latest Saints Row edition is billed as a complete reimagining of the iconic action-adventure series.

Players will be tasked with building the Saints up from scratch in this origin story in which you become the crime lord.

Saints Row is scheduled for August and will launch on PlayStation, XBox and PC.

Whether gamers prefer desktop gaming or console gaming, it’s safe to say that there are a lot of great games and entertainment coming to both this year.

Slot games predicted to rise in 2022

One of the top slots and online games in the UK released for the first quarter of 2022 is Medusa Hunt.

It’s just one of a number of new titles to come from Red Rake this year.

With a planned 5×3 reels with 25 paylines, this slot is certainly set to be a popular one amongst iGaming fans.

Scheduled for spring 2022, hunt for big animals to win big prizes with Play’n Go’s latest African adventure in the upcoming Safari of Wealth slot.

Offering 243 ways to win and up to 10,000 x the bet placed, the animation will be lively with a taste of the savannah and a suitable soundtrack.

Meanwhile, our feline hunting heroine returns to Egypt in Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter.

The iconic Book of Dead slot theme continues as the daughter of intrepid explorer Rich Wilde goes in search of a lost chapter from the tomb.

Anyone who has had adventures with Cat previously will enjoy this 5 reel, 3 row, 10 payline.

Unlock the expanding pyramid symbol for free wins- landing the perfect combination of symbols lands 10,000x your bet.
