Pumpkins and monsters take over the city centre this Halloween

Despite these tough times Manchester is not letting Covid-19 ruin Halloween celebrations with festivities taking place all around the city this October.

If you take a stroll around the city I’m sure you’ve noticed pumpkins hanging from the trees.

These lanterns are with us to celebrate Halloween and will be dotted all around the city from October 26 November 1, bringing some Halloween spirit to Manchester.

To find out where you can find these spooky lanterns go to https://www.visitmanchester.com/whats-on/pumpkin-lanterns-p391041

This October Manchester is being taken over. The monster invasion is upon us yet again this October.

Around the city shops will be decorated with Monster tentacles in the spirit of Halloween.

This year a competition for budding photographers has been launched with a host of amazing prizes such as an overnight stay, a dinner for two and a £100 gift card to splash in Manchester Arndale.

To be in with a chance of winning these prizes simply take a picture of Manchester’s monsters taking over and post it on your Instagram or Twitter and tag @HalloweenMCR alongside #MCRmonsters.

As Trick or Treating looks like it’s out of the window with socially distance guidelines in place.

GRUB is hosting a Halloween costume party with a host of festivities throughout the evening to keep everyone entertained on 31st October.

Throughout the evening fun activities such as pumpkin carving, a costume competition and Trick or Treat.

At GRUB you can get a bite to eat whilst the children have fun with street food and lovely craft beers on offer.

Although the fun for the children will finish at 8pm as all children have to be off site.

GRUB is managing to keep in line with the guidelines whilst hosting the socially distant Halloween party by enforcing a one way system, table service and a cashless system.

Halloween is not just for us GRUB allows dogs too! So bring the mutt for some Halloween fun.

To book your place go to http://www.grubmcr.com/tablebookings. A £5 deposit is required to secure your booking.
