Indian takeaway finds internet fame for its Smiths-themed menu.

Manchester is world famous for its impressive musical heritage, having birthed the likes of Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Chemical Brothers to name a few.

But it seems one business has taken this pride in Manchester’s musical history one step further.

‘This Charming Naan’ on Sackville Street is an Indian takeaway service which has themed its menu on The Smiths, the 80s rock band who hail from the city.

‘How saag is now’, ‘Heaven knows I’m masala now’ and ‘Girlfriend in a korma’ are just some of the items on its impressively pun-tastic menu.

In a Tweet which has gathered over 24,000 likes, social media users have delighted in the hilarious play on words which has even caught the attention and approval of the band’s drummer, Mike Joyce, who joined in on the puns on.
