A community group is helping people in North Manchester to get into cycling.
Bike It Walk It was founded by Naz Khan, of Cheetham Hill, after she noticed a lack of outdoor activities and cycling facilities in her area.
Khan said: “I feel that Bike It Walk It is serving so many community needs.
“It’s a space where everyone is welcome.”
Based in Heaton Park, Khan set up free cycling facilities, workshops and bike maintenance lessons after people in the community saw her cycling and wanted to join in.
Bike It Walk It has helped many people, especially Muslim women, who say they now feel more confident riding a bike, especially having a teacher who represents them and their community.
