The Hottest Property Spots in Manchester

In the past 20 years, the vast city of Greater Manchester has undergone serious investment in many areas, including property.

The work has turned it from a town of rundown warehouses and estates to one of modern, affluent neighbourhoods and city centres.

In this article, we discuss the hottest property spots in Manchester.

Ancoats

Ancoats is a great place to buy if you want to have access to the city centre for work and nightlife.

It once struggled to shake off its industrial past, but these warehouses and relics are now part of its charm.

Apartments and office blocks live alongside meandering canals, reminiscent of Amsterdam.

You don’t have to travel to the city centre to find your cultural fix either.

The hippest bars and cafe culture are aplenty here.

You can find everything from comedy clubs to live music venues in its borders.

It is also foodie heaven, with new eateries popping up on an almost monthly basis.

At around £250,000 for an average property, it is still relatively affordable.

Cheetham Hill

Cheetham Hill lies to the north of Manchester city centre.

While it may not have the young, hip artistic vibe of Ancoats, it is lower in price at around £210,000 for an average property and access to the city makes it more attractive for families.

The neighbourhood is a blending pot of cultures.

With this comes a mix of shops, attractions and infrastructure.

This area is still attracting plenty of speculation, and for anyone who already owns a property here, it is also a great time to sell.

Anyone looking to sell house fast can take advantage of the many cash-for-home options available.

While they provide lower prices, the speed with which transactions are made can free you up for other investments while capitalising on the current market.

Stockport

Stockport is its own town to the south of Manchester.

Yet exceptional transport links mean it has all the access to the city, without having the prices.

Not only this, but it has undergone a massive transformation, becoming one of the coolest and trendiest towns in the United Kingdom.

Once upon a time, its most famous attraction was a hat museum.

Now it has a range of boutique shops, combined with indoor markets and attractions.

It also has an outstanding music scene with bands like Blossoms and Everything Everything calling it home.

Not only do you have access to Manchester, but the Peak District is only a short drive away.

Despite £1 billion in investment, you can still get a two-bed property for around £240,00 making it highly affordable.

The right area of Manchester for you depends on your current needs.

However, the city does still have it all. In certain corners, you can still find property at a relatively reasonable amount.

Set a budget, work out how much you can afford to pay back and begin the search for your next property.

There has never been a better time to be a resident of Greater Manchester.
