WATCH: Easy ways to save the bees this summer

Over the course of lockdown, many found themselves with extra time on their hands to finally take up a hobby.

Along with bread making and Zoom yoga sessions, gardening quickly became a favourite to those looking to add more colour to their homes.

Lockdown provided Mother Nature with an opportunity to restore herself and we started to see an improvement in local wildlife.

With summer around the corner, Friends of the Earth have encouraged gardening enthusiasts to keep the bees in mind when redecorating their outdoor spaces.

Bees are responsible for pollinating 80% of crops in Europe including chilis, strawberries and cucumbers.
