Bury man threatened and robbed at gunpoint in own home – masked men demand drugs and cash

A Bury man was threatened and robbed at gunpoint after three masked men forced entry into his home last month.

He answered a knock at his door at around 9.50pm on June 17 on Windsor Avenue in Whitefield.

The man was confronted by three men wearing hooded jumpers and was forced back into the house by the offenders, one of whom was carrying a gun.

The victim, along with another man who was in the house at the time, was ordered into the living room where the group repeatedly demanded money and cannabis.

After the victims emphasised that they had neither the offenders searched the house and stole two tablet computers and a laptop.

While no one was injured in the incident Detective Constable Lindsey Worrall of the Whitefield police station said that threats had been made.

Following the robbery the offenders left in the direction of Thatch Leach Lane.

No arrests have been made however police believe that the man carrying the gun was black, muscular, and approximately 6ft 2in tall.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
