Expert open water swimming coach explains how to enjoy the water safely

As temperatures soared this summer, many people lost their lives after getting into difficulty in open water across the UK. 

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is urging the public to educate themselves and their families about the dangers of open water, in a bid to avoid further tragedy. 

But during the various lockdowns, there has been a widespread increase in people turning to open water swimming for its benefits to both physical and mental health. 

MM spoke to expert open water swimming coach Christine Bradley to find out more about the joys and dangers of this ever-growing trend.
