All creatures great and small: Manchester’s biggest pet show reveals details of action-packed weekend

All creatures great and small will descend on Manchester in September for the city’s biggest ever pet show.

Manchester Pet Show, which takes place at EventCity on September 7 and 8, will feature five discovery zones, demonstrations, retail outlets and an impressive theatre to entertain the pet-lovers of the North West.

The Kennel Club, the UK’s largest dog welfare organisation, will be also showing off more than 20 different breeds and has announced plans to host the North West regional heat of Scruffts at the show.

Carrie Mosley, Manchester Pet Show Director said: “The show will create a day of amazing memories and fun for all the family.”

In addition, those in attendance will be able to get friendly with the creepy-crawlies of the animal kingdom in Safari Phil’s very own jungle.

A World Of Wings will also be bringing along an assortment of exotic birds which will take centre stage at the pet show as visitors have the opportunity to meet storks with a huge wingspan of 2 metres, acrobatic parrots and the largest ground hornbills in the world.

The sheer range and amount of creatures taking part will provide ‘a line-up that Noah would have been proud to take onto the ark!’.

Over 200 exhibitors will at the show including Canine World with tips and tricks for dog-owners, Your Pet Place who will offer luxury cat and dog accessories and Dragon’s Den success-story Marie Sawle with her Billy+Margot Dog Ice Cream.

Tickets are now on sale at £13.00 for adults and £9.00 for children.
