Ex-Bolton kids’ club worker jailed for filming children in the TOILETS

A former kid’s club supervisor from Bolton has been jailed after secretly filming children in a toilet and sexually assaulting another.

Adam Curnock, 31, of Harley Avenue, Harwood, admitted to numerous child sex offences, including sexually assaulting a child, taking, possessing and making indecent images of a child.

He also admitted to possessing prohibited images of children, voyeurism and possessing an extreme pornographic image.

Curnock was sentenced to seven years in prison at Bolton Crown Court today.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life and made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

Curnock previously worked as a cleaner and supervisor at an out of hours children’s club in Bolton.

He hid recording devices in a toilet and secretly filmed the children. The videos found by police included one of Curnock sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 after he sat the child on his lap.

Detective Chief Inspector Sara Wallwork said: “These offences are a gross violation of the children’s privacy and trust.

“His actions were deliberate and calculated and he has rightly been jailed for these terrible crimes.

“We have worked closely with the local authority and community throughout this investigation, which I know has left many shocked and appalled.”

Police searched Curnock’s house under warrant on November 14 and seized numerous electrical devices and computers, which were forensically examined.

Detectives found dozens of videos that Curnock had secretly recorded.

A further 2,835 videos and images from the internet along with other illegal images were also recovered.
