The cheapest UK cities for nights out revealed – and Salford features in the top 10

Salford is the 10th cheapest UK city for a night out, according to new analysis conducted by Casino Alpha.

The data, produced by the online casino comparison service, combined the cost of a pint, cocktail, entry to a nightclub, fast food, and a 5km taxi ride home.

Bradford was the cheapest city for letting your hair down, with Dundee in second place.

At the other end of the scale, London was the most expensive city for a night out, costing a whopping £44.

For those in the North West, it will come as little surprise that Manchester was the most expensive city in the region. But Chester beat out its competitors to take the title of most affordable night out.

And for those not keen to venture into a nightclub, Salford offers the 7th cheapest pint in the country!

Public opinion on Salford’s nightlife seems to be more mixed, however.

Some seem to love the city’s vibrancy.

But others have criticised it for lacking “basic imagination”.

Overall, though, it’s good news for students at the University of Salford and anyone else looking to enjoy a night out in the city. It’s as good excuse as any to let your hair down!
