Manchester has the ‘best venues’ to watch Euros in 2024 study shows

Manchester has been named as the UK city with the best venues to watch the Euros in 2024, according to a recent study.

The study, conducted by event planning experts Togather, was carried out to identify the best UK cities for watching the tournament.

A range of factors were taken into consideration including the price of beer, the number of pubs and bars screening the games, as well as the cost of travel in each city.

The results of the study show that Manchester boasts 3,062 possible venues. At 578 venues per 100,000 residents, Manchester is officially the city where you are most likely to catch a game with an unobstructed view.

In addition to this, the average price of a pint in our city – at £4.82 – is 35 pence less than the national average, making for an even more enjoyable Euros experience.

Although travel costs are higher than the national average due to the price of taxi fares, fans can make use of our Bee Network and Metro systems to maximise their fun whilst keeping the cost down.

Each city included in the study was given a final rating out of 10 for the ‘overall’ experience, with all the factors considered. Manchester came in 7th place overall out of 15 cities, with a score of 5.8.

The top three highest rated cities overall were Nottingham (8.4), Sheffield (7.8) and Newcastle (7.3).

The bottom three cities were Edinburgh (3.8), London (2.7) and Belfast (1.1).
