Manchester United fans were left seeing double yesterday – not from the knock-out blow from Bayern Munich, but after they ran into a Nemanja Vidic lookalike.
The Serbia defender’s doppelganger was sent in a spin by Red Devils’ supporters after they spotted him on the Munich streets.
United centre-back Vidic, 32, is often head-and-shoulders above the opposition and it was no different for the mystery impersonator, as fans got carried away with their discovery.
United could have done with another Vidic in their defence during last night’s Champions League 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, which sent David Moyes’ men crashing out of Europe 4-2 on aggregate.
Club captain Vidic will be plying his trade in Italy next season after he agreed to end his eight-year stay at Old Trafford to join Italian side Inter Milan in the summer.
