Twin Atlantic will be stopping off in Manchester to play at the Albert Hall, as a part of their biggest headline tour ever in the UK, on May 5.
The Glaswegian rock band have already come a long way since their birth in 2007, rising from playing small gigs in local venues to becoming internationally recognised with headline European tours and frequent slots at festivals.
The band will only be playing four dates this time round but will be stopping at larger venues than ever before.
Their show in London will be at the Brixton’s O2 Academy which has a capacity of 4,900 and Albert Hall can hold up to 2,000 people.
Twin Atlantic have been sharing stages with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Kings of Leon and Blink-182 since 2010, but their success really began to flourish in 2012 when their single Free was chosen to represent the record-breaking Red Bull Stratos Space Jump.
Their popularity multiplied again after their most recent album, Great Divide, was released in March 2014.
Great Divide received outstanding reviews and managed to hold the sixth position in the UK Charts for four weeks.
The foursome won ‘Independent Track of the Year’ for their single Heart and Soul at the 2014 AIM Awards and were even chosen to support Fall Out Boy this February in Australia.
They have also been confirmed for a headline slot on the BBC Radio 1 stage at July’s T in the Park festival.
Pre-ticket sales were opened on Christmas Eve and those lucky enough to buy tickets were entered into a lottery to win one of 100 signed flags in the style of the Great Divide’s album artwork.
General sale tickets have been available since Boxing Day and are still on sale for £18.50 each.
The gig starts at 7pm on May 5 and support bands include Eliza & the Bear and Lonely the Brave.
