Martial says Man Utd can do Premier League and Champions League double

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial believes the Red Devils can win both the Premier League and Champions League this season.

The 19-year-old has made an impressive start to his Old Trafford career following his £36m Deadline Day move from Monaco, netting four times in seven appearances.

The France international put in a man-of-the-match display in Les Bleus’ 2-1 victory over Denmark on Sunday and believes he can help fire United to double success this campaign.

“I think we can win the Premier League and the Champions League this season,” he told Telefoot.

“Both of them. We are among the top five clubs [in Europe].”

Martial has made a positive start to life in Manchester and his performances earned him the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for September.

The former Monaco star announced himself with the decisive winner in United’s 3-1 victory over rivals Liverpool and is pleased with how he has begun his Red Devils career.

“It is going well so far. I have had a great welcome from the fans. I don’t think about my price on the pitch.

“The goal against Liverpool, the big enemy of the club, allowed the fans to get to know me a bit better.”

United return to action this weekend when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday October 17.
