‘I did it to save you’: Sick claims of Manchester paedophile jailed for sexual abuse of two girls aged only four

By Danielle Wainwright

A Manchester paedophile who sexually abused two children and forced them to watch sick videos that he had filmed of them was jailed today for eight years.

Michael Bell, 35, of no fixed address abused one girl who was aged only four until she was 10 or 11 years old and told her that he had ‘saved her’ when she was finally able to confront him years later.

He would film the naked girl and force her to watch it, and told her that he would ‘have her one day’ and would ‘go to prison for her’.

He began abusing the second girl when she was aged around five or six over a shorter period of time.

He was found guilty of 18 counts of indecent assault as he appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court and was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.

Detective Constable Nicola Graham, from the Child Protection Unit, said: “Hall has destroyed their childhoods and their emotional wellbeing has been significantly affected because of this.

“We have and will continue to support these two young women who have found strength in each other at what continues to be a deeply traumatic time for them both.

“He told one girl he would go to prison for her. Thanks to her bravery we have been able to make sure he is true to his word.”
