An underground rapper who’s racked up more than 100million views on YouTube has postponed his upcoming gig at the Manchester Academy – for SIX MONTHS.

Hopsin, 28, from California, has built up an army of followers over the last several years, predominantly through his ‘Ill  Mind of Hopsin’ videos which he releases annually on YouTube.

Hopsin’s latest edition, ‘Ill Mind of Hopsin 6’ has racked up nearly seven million views, with the previous video hitting a staggering 35million.

The rapper, who is signed to Funk Volume records – who Hopsin co-founded – was due to play at Academy 2 on April 1, as part of his Knock Madness tour, the rapper’s third studio album.

But eager fans who have purchased tickets have now been informed the gig has been postponed until October 3.

The rapper, who is currently in Texas on his tour of America, hasn’t given an explanation for the delay to his 2million fans on social media.

Hopsin's legion of fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

@Shane_White93 said: "@hopsin How come the Manchester show for 1st April has been postponed until October? Gutted."

@LordGeorge said: "@hopsin Why the delay in the UK? Pretty disappointed with that really, wasn't what I expected from you hop."

One fan gave demanded an explanation. @AlfieHawkinz  said: "@hopsin Oi why have you changed your Manchester date to October!?"

MM contacted Manchester Academy for further details but were told they 'were not at liberty to give out any more information'.
