Mucky Duck murder: Two arrested after midnight Rochdale pub attack

Two men have been arrested following the suspected murder of a 28-year-old man outside a pub in Rochdale in the early hours of this morning.

Greater Manchester Police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of murder after finding the victim with head injuries outside the Mucky Duck pub on Drake Street.

Police were called to the pub just after 12:30am this morning following reports a man had collapsed.

The victim was taken to Fairfield Hospital in Bury but staff were unable to save him and he died shortly after arriving.

GMP this morning confirmed that a 31-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice. Both currently remain in police custody for questioning.
