Boxing promoters Matchroom put on a grass roots boxing event at the AO Arena in partnership with a Manchester-based sports charity.
‘Matchroom in the Community’ teamed up with the charity Street Games to put on an evening of activity for around 100 youngsters between 10 and 16 years old.
Matchroom and Street Games announced a three-year partnership earlier this year which aims to inspire children from underserved communities through the sport of boxing.
Children enjoyed virtual reality boxing, a punching machine challenge, professional coaching and a backstage tour from former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla from Manchester – who sold out the Manchester Arena during his career.
Other professional fighters at the event were William Crolla, Kieron Conway Alfie Middlemiss, and Rhiannon Dixon.
