Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher ‘to sue’ US newspaper over claims he fathered love child

By Sam Richardson

Former Oasis frontman and Manchester legend Liam Gallagher is suing a US newspaper after it alleged that he may have fathered a child with an American woman following a one night stand.

The woman claims she gave birth to the rocker’s daughter less than a year ago, and is said to be suing him for £2million.

The Beady Eye singer is now taking legal action against the New York Post, who made the allegations.

The paper said Gallagher was at the centre of a court hearing on Friday listed under ‘Anonymous v Anonymous’.

A spokesman for the star said: “Lawyers are taking action against the New York Post.

“We are not going to comment on gossip.”

It is alleged that the woman met Gallagher through her work as a showbiz journalist, and is apparently considering undergoing DNA tests to strengthen her case.

Gallagher has been married to Canadian singer Nicole Appleton since 2008, and is the father of three children.

This may not be the first time the star has landed himself in marital hot water – his daughter Molly, 15, was born after he had a fling with singer Lisa Moorish in 1997 – while he was married to Patsy Kensit.
