Greater Manchester gets ready for ‘biggest celebration’ of creative talent

Greater Manchester is set to welcome back a popular creative exhibition for locals to submit their artwork to be featured in galleries.

The Manchester Open – which was created in honour of philanthropist and business leader Kate Voke – will encourage local creatives of all levels to submit their artwork for Home’s galleries.

The event will take place Saturday 20 June – Sunday 6 September 2026 and will be the fourth time it has been launched for artists.

The Manchester Open is run by Home – an arts centre and charity that collaborates with artists across the globe – and will be judged by a panel of art experts and community representatives selected by Spring 2026.

Artists are encouraged to submit one piece of artwork into the following categories: ceramics, digital/moving image, drawing, print, painting, photography, sculpture/installation and textiles.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Manchester Open selection panel who make the final selection of work to be included in the exhibition.

Artists can submit their work through the Home website.
