Lettuce turnip the beet as Manchester’s ‘cool and ethical’ Vegan Fair returns

Manchester’s voracious veggie lovers unite as the Vegan Fair returns to Chorlton Irish Club tomorrow.

The fair plays host to around 70 different stalls selling a variety of vegan delights – not just food, but beauty products, books and crafts.

There will be entertainment from local psych-punk-pop sensation Giant Planets, who promise ‘sweet psychedelia with bags of mayhem’, and award-winning performance poet, Dominic Berry.

A line-up of inspirational speakers is due to educate, inform and enlighten fair-goers about being ‘cool and ethical’, and getting nutrition using the principles of plant-based power foods.

More than 1,600 people attended the fair last year, and organisers are optimistic that this year will see an even bigger turnout.

Cupid will be floating around as attendees are invited to take part in vegan speed dating and vegan ‘speed meeting’.

The event takes place at Chorlton Irish Club on High Lane in Chorlton, from 11am to 5pm.
