Two Lancashire boys raise more than £200,000 for charity after one of them is diagnosed with leukaemia

After Hughie’s diagnosis with leukaemia last year, best friend Freddie challenged himself to run two kilometres every day for 50 days in order to raise funds for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, where Hughie was undergoing treatment.

Initially, they aimed to raise £1,000 but since then, the pair have captured the hearts of the nation, raising over £200,000 in the process.

They have hopes of becoming the “next Ant and Dec”.

Here is their story.
