Emergency services responded swiftly this afternoon to a two-vehicle collision on along Ardwick Green South, Manchester.
The incident involved a black MG and a silver car, with Greater Manchester Police confirming that no injuries were reported.

A police officer at the scene stated: “There were no casualties.”
Occupants in the vehicles were assessed by paramedics.
The crash caused temporary traffic delays as one lane was closed to allow for vehicle recovery and debris clearance. The road has since fully reopened.

This incident adds to the ongoing concern over road safety in Greater Manchester.
According to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, between 2021 and 2024, the region recorded 223 deaths or serious injuries resulting from dangerous driving – the highest in the UK.

In 2023 alone, 45 people lost their lives on Greater Manchester roads, with 754 sustaining serious injuries.
In its continued efforts to improve road safety across the region, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority has endorsed the Vision Zero Strategy, aiming to eliminate road deaths and life-changing injuries by 2040, with an interim goal of a 50% reduction by 2030.
