Police hunt hit and run vehicle that left Stockport man, 31, with fractured shoulder blade, collar bone and face

Police are hunting the vehicle involved in a hit and run in Stockport which left a 31-year-old man with fractures to his collar bone, shoulder blade, and face.

A 29-year-old man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident but have been bailed pending further inquiries.

The victim was stood at the side of his own car on Elms Road when a van hit him.

After failing to stop the van continued down Elms Road before turning right onto Brownsville Road.

The victim was taken to hospital but has since been discharged after making a good recovery.

Police are still searching for the vehicle involved in the incident and it is thought to be a small red Vauxhall van with registration number DX53YSK.

An appeal has been launched for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the van, with a particular emphasis placed on garages who may have fixed damage to the front passenger side wing, passenger door mirror, and windscreen of such a van.
