Police make arrest after ‘vulnerable’ Bolton man raped in car park

A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a ‘vulnerable’ man in a car park in Bolton.

Police were called at around 6:20am on Saturday September 5, 2015, after a man had been raped in a car park just off Manchester Road, Bolton

The attack occured between 4am and 4:30am while the victim, a man in his 40’s, was walking home from a night out in the town centre.

He was approached by another man as he was making his way down the road, who then pushed him over a low wall onto a car park outside a motor garage before raping him.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody for questioning.
