Good As New sale returns to Hale to help families cut costs this November

A twice-yearly sale offering affordable prices on preloved children and baby items returns next month, with 25% of profits going to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Taking place at St Peter’s Assembly Room in Hale, Trafford, the Good As New Sale begins at 10am on Saturday 18th November, with two hours to bag a bargain.

The event has raised more than £16,000 for local children’s hospitals in the last five years.

Kate Hasluck, Chair of the sale Committee, said: “The St Peter’s Good As New sale is a paradise for parents, especially those looking to kit their kids out with lovely, quality and new-to-them clothes, toys, games and books at bargain prices.

“The parents and carers who come to the sale typically save hundreds of pounds and many of our items still have tags and labels on them or are brand new in box. We are looking forward to a bumper sale this Saturday 18th November and we expect to raise hundreds of pounds for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital too. It is win-win!”

With a 40-year history and in excess of 5,000 items on sale, the event hopes to provide a low-cost alternative for families ahead of the festive season.

The preloved children’s sale includes toys, games and baby equipment, as well as clothes and shoes with sizes ranging from newborn to 10 years old.

Top brands are featured too, such as Marks and Spencer, Joules, Next, Mini Boden and many more.

Local buyer Kirsty said: “I’ve saved thousands of pounds and it feels good to recycle perfectly good items while also giving money to an important charity. I also hide away lots of Christmas presents too as so many of the items are brand new or un-used.”

Entry on the door is £2 cash, with card payment only when purchasing items.
