Teen arrested after boy, 16, found stabbed in Crumpsall

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a 16-year-old boy in Crumpsall.

Police were called at 7.45pm on Tuesday after reports that a boy had been stabbed in Crumpsall, north Manchester.

Officers attended an area of Herristone Road and found the boy, 16, with injuries to his abdomen and arm.

He was treated by Paramedics at the scene and taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a stable condition.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, remains in police custody for questioning on suspicion of section 18 assault.
