Concerns grow for missing Bury boy, 16, last seen in Chorlton

Concerns are growing for a 16-year-old Bury boy who has been missing from his home since Wednesday morning.

Update: Declan Dove has been found safe and well.

Declan Dove has been missing from his home on Walmersley Road, Bury, since 12.24am Wednesday August 27, but was sighted in Chorlton in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The youngster has been known to sleep rough in parks and police are concerned for his welfare.

Detective Sergeant Laurence Dixon said: “Whilst this behaviour is not completely out of the ordinary for Declan, we are beginning to worry about his welfare.

“He was seen quite recently, but much further away from his home address than we would have expected and he has been known to sleep rough in parks, which is obviously a further concern.

“If you recognise Declan and believe you have seen him recently, please contact police.”

Declan is described as male, white, average build and around 5ft 4in tall, with brown hair.

He was last seen wearing black trainers, black tracksuit bottoms, black t-shirt and a grey hoody.

Anyone with knowledge of Declan Dove’s whereabouts is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101 or 0161 856 9592.
