Manchester City Women unveils Joie as official stadium naming partner of academy stadium

Manchester City Women have become the first Women’s Super League club to have a naming partner for their Academy Stadium.

Popular baby gear brand Joie has been unveiled as City Women’s sponsor with a multi-year contract for naming rights. 

The club and Joie are promising to work together to ensure an all-inclusive experience on match days.

This includes a pledge to launch a family friendly service alongside Man City’s dedication to creating the best experiences for during games to people of all ages.

Gavin Makel, Managing Director of MCWFC, said: “Not only is this a huge moment for Manchester City Women but also for the wider club as the stadium changes name for the first time since its opening in 2014.”

David Welsh, Senior Managing Director, of Joie said: “We believe that football offers an unforgettable experience for families and by partnering with Manchester City Women and becoming the Official Stadium Naming Partner, we aim to make it truly accessible for all – whether that’s families with babies or parents of older children who will love playing in the Fan Zone.”

Members of the women’s team got together to celebrate the milestone with Captain Steph Houghton cutting an orange Joie bow that wrapped the newly-named stadium. Other members of the squad were present for the event.
