Manchester City’s new era is well under way as Montenegrin star Stevan Jovetic becomes their fourth signing of the summer.
The deal will cost the Blues a reported £22million taking new manager Manuel Pellegrini’s spending to a staggering £90million.
A statement on Fiorentina’s Twitter page read: “An agreement has been reached with Manchester City Football Club for the permanent sale of the player Stevan Jovetic.”
The player revealed that he is excited at the prospect of arriving at City.
“I’m happy to go to City because they play in the Premier League and they are a very important team. I just want to win something,” he told firenzeviola.it.
With four signings completed, City appear to mean business ahead of the new season as they seek to recapture the Premier League crown.
