Horror fans in for a frightful treat at new Manchester convention

Horror movie fans can enjoy an all new horror movie convention in Manchester this weekend.

‘For the Love of Horror’ will allow horror fans to indulge in all manner of scary attractions, from battling zombies in ‘outbreaks’ to spooky ‘nightmare zones’.

It will be held in Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Trafford Park on October 20-21.

CEO of Monopoly Events and event founder Andy Kleek says: “There will be parts of the arena that will be terror-free, where you can mingle with famous horror movie actors or look at real-life movie props.

“In these areas, you’ll be perfectly safe, and we welcome any brave kids, too.

“However, other elements of the convention will see guests having to run the gauntlet of zombies, wraiths, aliens, killer clowns even demonic dolls.

“These are our unique scare attractions – and we’d hate for anyone to stumble into one of them unawares – only to then have an experience which haunts their nightmares for the rest of the year.

“You have been warned…”

There will also be an appearance from Richard Brake, known for playing the terrifying Night King in Game of Thrones.

‘For the Love of Horror’ convention will be open both days 9am to 9pm, with the scare attractions open 3pm to 9pm.

Tickets to the event cost £22 for one day or £35.20 for the full weekend.
