Strictly Come Dancing professionals Amy Dowden MBE and Carlos Gu will be touring the country with their ‘Reborn’ live show.
The pair will be joining forces to perform over 22 dance numbers, from Argentine Tango to Rumba, accompanied by singing from Strictly vocalist Andrea Grant, at 21 venues across the UK.
Amy told Mancunian Matters: “It’s probably the most personal show yet from Carlos and I, but it’s still uplifting”.
“We hope to have people leaving feeling inspired, lifted, positive and full of celebrations.”
Carlos approached Amy, who he has worked alongside on the BBC show since 2022, with the idea for the tour.
Speaking about her relationship with Carlos, Amy said: “We’re like brother and sister… I’m so grateful to be able to share this journey with him.”

‘I cannot wait for this moment’
Amy joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 going on to become one of the show’s most loved professionals.
Carlos is a three-time Chinese National Champion and has had a huge year after recently lifting the Glitterball Trophy with former Lioness Karen Carney.
He will be singing as well as dancing on the tour.
Amy says she is most excited to perform a brand-new number in the show which is from a famous musical movie – but she is keeping the song a secret.
She adds: “I cannot wait for this moment. And I think people will see a different Amy in this number, which is quite exciting”.

‘I feel reborn after everything I’ve been through’
Amy has recently recovered from breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in 2023 and says her scans are “going great” and she feels “really well”.
She has been campaigning with My Breast Friend and CoppaFeel! as well as releasing a documentary following her cancer journey, Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me in 2024.
She said: “I do feel, honestly, reborn after everything I’ve been through, it’s how I genuinely feel. And I feel so lucky to be in this position, feeling happy, stronger than ever before.”
Amy says she hopes that anyone who relates to her story is inspired by the live show.
“This is my deeply personal story… I hope that they don’t feel alone, I hope they feel seen.”
‘Reborn’ will be coming to The Lowry in Salford on the 14th June. Tickets available here.
