Warehouse Project 2017: LCD Soundsystem and many, many more announced for gigs until New Year’s Day

This autumn the Warehouse Project returns to Manchester for another year with the full season line-up having just been announced.

The Warehouse Project has become an institution of the Manchester clubbing scene and this year will mark its 11th birthday.

It’s claimed numerous Manchester venues as its home, originating in Boddingtons Brewery in Strangeways, then moving to an ex-air raid shelter on Store Street, briefly foraying to Victoria Warehouse and now returning back to Store Street, describing the venue as its “spiritual home”.

The iconic seasonal club project is known for securing international acclaimed DJs and musicians, including Deadmau5, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, The Prodigy, Disclosure, Jamie XX and Foals.

Additionally, the Warehouse Project also champions less well-established artists, giving them a platform to perform with world famous DJs and musicians.

This year’s line-up is no exception to the rule, featuring a diverse mix of the world’s most exciting and influential artists.

The first weekend, opening Saturday September 16, is headlined by LCD Soundsystem and has already sold out for both nights.

The Warehouse Project then runs every weekend until New Year’s Day, each weekend featuring a whole host of different artists, including Annie Mac, Dusky, Hannah Wants, Giggs, Mura Masa, Bicep, Chase and Status, My Nu Leng, Jax Jones and The Chemical Brothers.

If this wasn’t enough, the Warehouse Project has also organised specially curated, one-off events at venues other than Store Street.

On Thursday October 26, Manchester Academy will play host to Swedish Electronica outfit Little Dragon.

The beautiful Albert Hall will also be in on the fun, with acts including Gorgon City and Disciples on Saturday November 4, Thundercat on Wednesday November 15 and Nick Murphy (formerly known as Chet Faker) performing on Saturday December 2.

Additionally, the Warehouse Project will be hosting LVL35, “the biggest Levelz” show to date at a mystery Manchester location that’s yet to be revealed.

But that’s not all. On Saturday November 11 there will be a special daytime show, starting at 2pm, hosted by Jamie XX & Friends while Saturday October 28 sees a Halloween takeover at Store Street, with an extra room full of DJs.

With a stellar line-up and so many one-off, exclusive events, The Warehouse Project 2017 is not one to miss.
