The much-debated Whitney Houston hologram tour hits Manchester on Friday, after being described by some concert-goers as ‘eerie’ and ‘weird’.
An Evening with Whitney will see a 3D hologram of the Grammy-award winning singer alongside a live band, backing singers and dancers who will perform to arrangements of her classic songs.
The tour debuted in Sheffield on Monday and will travel to venues across the UK, Europe, Mexico and North America.
The event comes eight years on from her death and nearly ten years since the late singer’s final world tour Nothing But Love. Her last performance on the tour took place at Manchester Arena in June 2010.
With the hologram concept having divided those who attended in Sheffield and many who have seen clips of the show on social media, Manchester fans will be given the opportunity to make their minds up for themselves at the O2 Apollo. If nothing else, it promises to be a visual spectacle at the cutting-edge of live entertainment.
Expect to get up from your seat and sing along to many of her iconic hits including I Will Always Love You, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, The Greatest Love of All and Higher Love.
If the furore has you intrigued, be quick, tickets for the event are still on sale priced between £45-£70.
