Thousands enjoy Manchester’s Christmas Parade 2023

Manchester’s Christmas parade was back on the streets this Sunday as it saw thousands of families come to watch.

The city’s memory-making parade, which took place for the first time last year, was even bigger and better this year with over 400 participants weaving their way through the city centre.

The parade delighted the crowds from start to finish – with Snow Queens, Bouncing Elves, sparkling Christmas Glitter Belles and even Santa Claus himself.

Councillor Pat Karney said: “It is our gift to all the great kids in Manchester and we hope they have magical memories of growing up in this Christmas city.”

It also featured a life-size Bengal tiger puppet, taken from the upcoming stage production of The Life of Pi at Salford’s Lowry Theatre.
